Battletoads Game

Battle Toads was developed for the NES in 1991. It has been called one of the most graphically advanced games released for this system. The main characters of this game are three toads with human attributes named Rash, Pimple and Zitz.

The purpose of the game is to rescue Princess Angelica and Pimple who were ambushed and kidnapped by the Dark Queen. The remaining toads are sent to the Dark Queen's planet to battle against unknown dangers and enemies in an effort to rescue their friends. On their long and treacherous journey, they must make their way to the Tower of Shadows and face the Dark Queen herself.

Battle Toads is known for having creative and exaggerated ways of defeating enemies. These include a toad growing ram horns to deliver a lethal head butt, and a toad's fist growing to enormous sizes to punch an enemy.

This game is also known for having increasingly difficult levels of game play. There are many styles of play throughout the game. Some boards are in traditional brawler format where the character advances by destroying several enemies. These levels can be completed most easily with two players playing through at the same time. Other levels are races and obstacle courses, which can be very difficult. The key to beating these levels is to have quick reflexes. The game has an under water board and two boards in which you are climbing the tower of the Dark Queen. When you reach the Dark Queen, the final battle awaits!
