Nintendo game - Darkwing Duck

The boom of the Nintendo Entertaining System (NES) in the 1980s made it a very potent vehicle to publicize titles from animated series. Darkwing Duck NES is one of the earliest video games based on the Disney television series of the same name. It was developed by Capcom in 1992 and features the caped crime fighter Darkwing Duck.

The plot of Darkwing Duck NES begins when a mysterious crime took place in St. Canard. S.H.U.S.H., the intelligence agency that handles international affairs, appointed Darkwing Duck to look on this incident. It was revealed early on that F.O.W.L. (Fiendish Organization for World Larceny) was behind these attacks. The F.O.W.L. operative known as Steelbeak, a suave rooster who is also the organization's chief agent, led this uprising. Along with Steelbeak, six other foes were commissioned to terrorize the various areas.

The gameplay follows a consistently side-scrolling platform which requires quick reflexes to survive the obstacles. Darkwing Duck can move in all the typical directions and is able to jump with great versatility. The gas gun is the main weapon used by the character. By collecting adapters along the way, this gas gun can be modified to perform other functions. As a major defense tactic, Darkwing Duck uses his cape to deflect enemy projectiles.

Six crime-infested areas have to be cleaned up before finally reaching the F.O.W.L. headquarters known as the Floating Fortress. A basic strategy of the game is to collect as much items as possible by killing enemies multiple times to produce more looted items.
