Mighty Final Fight Game

Mighty Final Fight is a side scrolling beat-em up in the tradition of other greats like Double Dragon, Renegade, and River City Ransom. The brief story follows as thus: Mike Haggar is the new mayor of Metro City, which is being overrun by the Mad Gear Gang. Haggar has plans to clean up the town, but the leader of the Mad Gear Gang kidnaps his daughter Jessica. What they do not know, is that Haggar is a former professional wrestler who is willing to give flying piledrivers to any troublemakers. Alongside to help is Cody, Jessica's boyfriend, and her friend Guy.

During the game, you will fight through the streets of Metro City, encountering all sorts of gang members, thugs, and other low-lifes. You can find weapons like pipes and knives to help you along the way. If your health gets low, you may find food on the ground to replenish it. You also gain experience in this game, which means when you level up, you get more health tacked onto your meter.

Haggar is a powerful character, but is a little slow. You may fall in love with him though once he delivers that first punishing piledriver or suplex. Guy resembles a ninja, and has very quick attacks. Cody is a little bit in the middle. You can punch your opponents, but once you get in close you can also grapple and throw them. There are also jumping attacks, and a special to use if you get surrounded.

The graphics are in a cartoon style, which is a little bit different from the arcade. It does however set the tone for a more fun atmosphere. If you are interested in seeing what the NES was capable of, or just want to take on some bad guys the old fashioned way, give Mighty Final Fight a try.
