game "Nintendo World Cup" is loading.....
Nintendo World Cup is a game that was released in 1990. It is a soccer game developed by Technos Japan. This classic soccer game is for the NES and the Game Boy.
This soccer game follows most traditional rules of the game. However, there are a few major differences. On the field, the teams have only six players. The six players are the goalie, one midfielder, two forwards and two defenders. While you are only able to control one player, you can still give commands like Pass and Shoot to the other players. Unlike in real soccer, there are no off sides, and you are allowed to commit a foul. You can knock out another player. This is done by continuously tackling, or sliding into the player. Once the player has been knocked out, they are out for the remainder of the half. A player can use as many as five super shots in each half. The super shot is a move that allows you to hit the ball harder than a normal shot.
When you play Nintendo World Cup, you can choose from two different modes. The first is Tournament Mode. In this mode, one or two players can choose from13 teams and play against the remaining teams, which are controlled by the CPU. The other mode is the VS Match option where players play each other on a variety of playing fields. Some fields are sand, some are dirt and some are ice. Up to four people can play on the VS Match mode. With this game, you can beat the CPU or your friends. It is up to you.
